Itinerary

Arrive at Kigali International Airport. We'll have a VIP meet and greet at the airport, fast track and assistance with visa and luggage. Meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, explore Kigali based on your wishes (all entrances are on your own account).

In the morning, have breakfast and check out. Drive to Musanze / Volcanoes National Park. En route, you will immediately feel that you are in the country of 1000 hills. Along the way, you will see different coffee plantations, banana plantations and the busy daily lifestyle of Rwandan local people (2.5 - 3 hours drive). Pass to visit the Ellen DeGeneres/Dian Fossey campus in Musanze for a round tour and learn from the behaviour of gorillas and the work of Dian Fossey. Check in and have lunch at the hotel. Spend the afternoon at leisure at the hotel.

Early in the morning have breakfast. Transfer to headquarters for a briefing to prepare for your trek. Hike with a local ranger to find the gorilla family and spend one hour with them. We offer a free porter per person who will assist you with your daypacks and give you a hand when the path is slippery, steep or irregular. The porters are from the local community and registered by the Rwanda Wildlife Authority, in this way we also support the local community. Have lunch and spend the afternoon at leisure at the lodge.

Have breakfast at the hotel and check out. Optional Golden Monkeys Hike: Hike with a local ranger through the forest to spot golden monkeys and other primates and the variation of the forest, flowers and birdlife. Have lunch at your hotel. Transfer to Kigali International Airport to catch your international flight home.
